The Large-diaphragm Condenser for Challenging Environments
The Lauten Audio LS-308 is a noise-rejecting, high-dynamic-range, large-diaphragm condenser microphone that’s a real problem-solver in challenging scenarios where isolation is desired but difficult to achieve. Featuring a second-order cardioid polar pattern with 270 degrees of off-axis frequency rejection and ultra-high dynamic range, the LS-308 is designed for use in situations with leakage-prone, close-proximity sources — for example, tracking electric guitars in front of a live drum kit or miking the bottom of a snare. Constructed from top-drawer components and outfitted with frequency-shaping low- and highpass filters, the LS-308 offers excellent handling characteristics with its internally shockmounted transducer element that minimizes rumble and handling noise. The Lauten Audio LS-308 ships with two different mounting options, a foam windscreen, and a road case.
270 degrees of off-axis rejection
The LS-308 is designed for use in environments with multiple sources in close proximity. Offering 270 degrees of side and rear rejection that attenuates off-axis sound by up to 25dB, the LS-308 is the perfect choice when isolation is essential. What’s more, the LS-308’s powerful off-axis rejection lends a dark, ribbon-like character to everything the mic captures. At Sweetwater, we’ve found that this timbral side-effect really smooths out harsh-sounding sources. That said, we wouldn’t recommend the LS-308 for most vocal applications.
Independent frequency-shaping filters
You’ll appreciate the LS-308’s independent multi-stage low- and highpass filters, which help you balance your recordings at the microphone, assisting you in capturing the purity of a performance without having to apply inordinate amounts of corrective EQ. The 2-stage highpass minimizes low-frequency mud and structure-borne rumble as well as proximity effect, while the 2-stage lowpass helps to tame excessively bright sources.
Mic anything — no pad needed
You may have noticed that the LS-308 doesn’t have a pre-attenuation pad — that’s because it can handle sound pressure levels upward of 135dB. The circuit also allows for an ultra-wide 120dB of dynamic range. These features make the Lauten Audio LS-308 ideal for capturing high-dynamic sources in loud onstage or studio environments. So go ahead and mic those tom toms or monster guitar amp stack — the LS-308 can take it!
Lauten Audio LS-308 Large-diaphragm Condenser Mic Features:
Second-order cardioid polar pattern with 270° of off-axis rejection
Provides superior isolation in noisy, close-quarter environments
135dB of dynamic range without the need of additional attenuation
Internally shockmounted transducer element minimizes rumble and handling noise
Frequency Range: 20Hz–20kHz

Searching for a top-shelf large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone for your studio? If so, the Lauten Audio LA-320 V2 is ready to be your new go-to workhorse. For starters, the LA-320 V2’s onboard sound shaping enables you to toggle between vintage warmth and modern clarity at the flip of a switch. What’s more, the LA-320 V2’s hand-tuned transducer imparts gentle natural compression and balance to any sound — no expensive signal chain required. Finally, this mic boasts high-quality hand-soldered components, including high-resolution/low-distortion polypropylene capacitors and resistors, a dual triode vacuum tube, and a vintage-inspired output transformer. The LA-320 V2 is a top-notch tube condenser that any studio engineer or home recordist is sure to appreciate.
High-quality components
Despite its amazing affordability, the LA-320 V2’s signal path includes high-quality components such as a proprietary hand-tuned, 1.25-inch pressure-gradient capsule; a premium ECC83 vacuum tube; an ultra-low-noise, US-made JFET amplifier; and a vintage-style output transformer for that impactful “big iron” sound. As a result, this mic delivers a full-bodied, present, mix-ready sound with a silky top end that’s ideal for capturing intimate, breathy vocals, nuanced acoustic guitar parts, and piano; while its 130dB SPL handling capability means you can use it on drums or guitar amps without fear of overload.
Impressive versatility
Engineers at Sweetwater appreciate the independent lowpass and highpass filters integrated into the LA-320 V2. These help you balance your recordings at the microphone, assisting you in capturing the purity and the vibrancy of a performance without having to apply inordinate amounts of corrective EQ. Although it’s not unusual to see a highpass filter on a condenser mic, a lowpass filter is rather unique. While the LA-320 V2’s highpass filter (hinged at 120Hz), minimizes low-frequency mud and structure-borne rumble, its highpass filter introduces a gentle rolloff shelf hinged at 12kHz. This is not only helpful for taming shrill sources, but also for imparting a warm vintage vibe to vocals and instruments. Vintage signal chains didn’t exhibit the pristine clarity of today’s ultra-high-fidelity equipment, which can sound astringent and sterile in the context of modern digital workflows. The LA-320 V2’s lowpass filter corrects for this unfortunate tendency of affordably priced modern gear, giving you a colorful, musical-sounding signal you can plug straight into your audio interface.
Lauten Audio designed the Eden LT-386 large-diaphragm tube condenser mic for the discerning recordist. This microphone’s impressive versatility begins with your choice of cardioid, omnidirectional, or figure-8 polar patterns. From there, the 2-stage Kick-shaper and Vocal-shaper highpass filters let you tailor the low-end response for the task at hand. Then there’s the onboard Multi-voicing technology that lets you select between Forward, Neutral, and Gentle response curves. Did we mention that the Eden sounds incredible? A unique blend of classic and modern, it delivers smooth, rich low end and midrange as well as upper mids and highs reminiscent of coveted classic vacuum tube microphones. A great choice for vocals, drums, and just about anything else, the Lauten Audio Eden LT-386 makes a superb addition to your mic locker.

Convenient pattern switching on the microphone
Lauten Audio spec’d the Eden LT-386 with three selectable polar patterns – cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 – so you’re covered for any recording scenario. Having the pattern switch conveniently on the mic body (rather than the power supply) lets you quickly and easily make your selection. At Sweetwater, we see a lot of tube mics these days with the pattern selector on the remote power supply, and we have to say that it’s nice to see it on the mic – just like many of the sought-after classics.
Highpass filters for shaping vocals and kick
The Eden LT-386 is fitted with a pair of 2-stage highpass filters Lauten Audio calls Kick-shaper and Vocal-shaper. These filters are explicitly tuned to shape the low end of two commonly problematic sources. In the default position, the filters are hard-bypassed. Stage one (the middle position) is the Kick-shaper, specifically designed for bass drums. With its steep low-end cut, it removes excessive boominess that might detract from a enormous-sounding kick. But it can also be very effective on toms, vocals, guitars, and more. Move the switch to stage two (the bottom position), and you engage the Vocal-shaper, which cleans up your vocal tracks for a wonderfully smooth and classic sound. Of course, you’ll also find this filter to be useful on multiple sources.
Multi-voicing technology: from vintage to modern
Multi-voicing is a proprietary Lauten Audio technology that uses three separate signal paths to achieve remarkably effective frequency shaping. Specifically designed and tuned for the Eden LT-386, the Forward, Neutral, and Gentle settings let you shape the response curve to the capture task. The Gentle position delivers a warm, vintage vibe and is perfect for maximum control over peaky or bright-sounding sources. Combine this with one of the highpass filters, and you have, effectively, a completely different microphone! The Neutral setting blends classic and modern to give you a smooth, even response with excellent control over sibilance. Finally, Forward opens up the mic for the coveted air of classic microphones.

One microphone, three distinct voices
The Lauten Audio Atlantis FC-387 FET condenser microphone gives you a degree of control over your sound beyond the reach of most typical mics. That’s largely because of its 3-way voicing switch, which lets you subtly but effectively contour its basic character. Set to its Gentle postion, the Atlantis FC-387 levels out bright peaks, taking the bite out of sibilant esses. The Neutral setting maintains even transparency without noticeably altering your sound, whereas the Forward voicing lets you add life to dull sources, without reaching for your EQ.
A polar pattern to fit any environment
Just as important as its various voicings, the Atlantis FC-387 gives you three polar patterns to choose from, allowing you to record in any environment. The omnidirectional setting is open and responsive, allowing you to capture both the crispness of your source and the resonance of your recording environment. The Atlantis FC-387’s cardioid mode, on the other hand, gives you excellent off-axis noise rejection and naturally tames some of the low end. Finally, Lauten Audio gave the Atlantis FC-387 a figure-8 setting, which provides you with amazing side-noise rejection.
Gain options for a wide range of sources
Once you start using the Atlantis FC-387, you’re going to want to stick it on everything. Luckily, Lauten Audio gave it a 3-way gain switch, so it can accommodate any instrument. For general use, the 0dB setting gives you the purest, most transparent sound. For a bit more presence (and to hit your mic preamp a bit harder), you can kick the Atlantis FC-387’s output up by +10dB. If, on the other hand, you’re recording a blaring guitar cab or using a pair of Atlantis FC-387 mics as overheads, you’ll probably find its -10dB setting useful.

The FC-357 Clarion blends classic and modern FET sound. It features a uniquely tuned frequency response that produces the smooth natural character found in classic FET condenser microphones with a touch of smooth modern airiness. Lauten Audio’s engineers paid careful attention to remove any harsh character often found in modern FET condenser microphones, so what you get is a classic-sounding and very versatile mic.
A stellar addition to any mic locker
The FC-357 Clarion has the features you need to achieve the sound you want. The unique three-position attenuation and gain switch offers you powerful recording options with no adverse distortion. The +10dB gain switch, which boosts the microphone’s output, makes it less dependent on preamps to achieve excellent sound. Alternatively, leave the gain switch at its default, or use the -10dB pad to reduce the microphone’s output and use the gain on your preamp to get more preamp character. The -10dB pad also makes this mic great for recording very loud sound sources.
The FC-357 Clarion also has three selectable polar pattern options: omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-8. With three polar patterns you can tackle any recording technique. Finally, the heavy-duty shock mount reduces external vibrations in any environment.
Quality internal components
Using a custom-designed 1.11″ (28.25mm) dual diaphragm capsule, the FC-357 Clarion lets you capture sources very accurately. The electronics include a low-noise FET and custom-wound output transformer that work together to provide you with an authentic and classic sound with a modern touch.
